Preserving your Farm-Crafted Holiday Urns

To ensure your planter stays fresh all season, keep it well-watered and protected from harsh winds. If bringing your planter indoors, you will need to transition inside over 2-3 days in a sheltered area to avoid shock from the temperature change.

Occasionally, check for any withered or browned foliage and gently trim it away to maintain the urn’s aesthetic appeal.

 

To protect evergreen products, spray Wilt-Pruf® products such as the Ready-to-Use spray, Concentrate, and the Plant Protect Concentrate, to naturally retain moisture and preserve evergreen colours.

Sudden cold snaps and frost can damage your farm-crafted urns. Shield them from extreme weather conditions by temporarily relocating them or covering them with protective materials like burlap during harsh weather spells.

Consider enhancing your urns with supplementary decorative items such as lights, stems/picks, or ornaments. These additions can complement the existing arrangement and add a festive touch and can be transitioned to a more general winter theme after the holiday season has passed.

Once the holiday season concludes, repurpose the greenery from your urns. Consider composting the organic material or using it as mulch to enrich your garden soil. Some elements, like decorative ornaments or ribbons, can be stored and reused for future celebrations, ensuring their enduring appeal.
