Our Farms
Sheridan Nurseries has over 900 acres of land in Southern Ontario, including 54 acres of propagation farm and 260 acres of container growing. This area is expanding at the rate of 10 acres per year.
We are currently producing over 600 perennial varieties and more than 600 hardy nursery stock varieties. The nursery serves Central and Eastern Canada, North Eastern and Central United States as well as our own nine retail garden centres.
The nursery has also been responsible for several plant introductions including Green Gem, Green Mountain and Green Velvet Boxwood, Ivory Silk Lilac Tree, Mountbatten Juniper, Glenleven Linden and DeGroot's Spire Cedar to name a few.

Cultivating the finest selection of plants and trees that are healthier and hardier is our primary goal.
Buying locally means shipping less distance — reducing fuel consumption and harmful emissions.
Since they have been grown nearby, they are tolerant of local growing conditions and weather.
These plants won't have an opportunity to bring in any new or exotic insects and diseases from faraway places.

Our 900 acre farm in Glen Williams, Ontario, is conveniently located approximately 60 kilometres northwest of Toronto. We produce more than 800 hardy nursery stock varieties, ranging from evergreens, deciduous trees and shrubs.

Our 260 acre container farm in Georgetown, Ontario, is conveniently located approximately 50 kilometres northwest of Toronto. We produce a wide range of container grown plants ranging in size from 1 gallon up to 45 gallons and 25 acres of Pot-N-Pot tree production.

Award-Winning Biofilter Pond
Our fully functional, 3.5 acre large capacity integrated water recycling system captures rainwater and overspray run-off from our farms and filters the water through the series of settling ponds and water plants making it a self-sufficient and environmentally-friendly source for irrigation water.
This system will recycle a minimum of 278,000 and up to 720,000 gallons of irrigation use each day through critical summer months.
