Services Offered by Sheridan Nurseries Garden Centres
In-Store Sketch Service
Call the Sheridan Nurseries garden
centre nearest you to arrange a time to meet with one of our
design professionals for an in-store sketch service appointment.
Bring in your property measurements and photos of the area you wish
to landscape and our design expert will spend forty-five minutes
with you suggesting foundation plantings ideas or planting solutions
for a specific area. Our designer will review your likes and dislikes,
as well as your property photographs to produce a sketch drawing
of your garden.
Fees - $40 plus GST
(Up to 45 minutes and may include front or back yard.)
Garden Inspection Service
Sheridan Nurseries offers a unique garden inspection service in which a
qualified staff member from our stores will visit your home to provide a
brief evaluation of your plant(s) or a specified area of your garden.
Services include pruning tips, advice on planting, moving or dividing plants
as well as pest and disease identification.
Fees
A fee of $135 plus
GST will apply. Please contact the garden
centre nearest you to arrange for your garden inspection service.
Planting Service
If you simply need to have your plants planted, we can arrange that for you too. Call the Sheridan Nurseries garden centre nearest you for a quote and to arrange for this convenient service.
Services Offered by Sheridan Nurseries at Your Home
Landscape Design Consultation - At Home
One of our Landscape Designers will come to your home to discuss your needs.
Fees - All fees are paid to designer at the time of the
appointment.

During Your Appointment
While at your home, your designer will discuss your needs for your yard and help you come up with a personalized goal. This includes choosing plant material based on: the level of maintenance you are comfortable with, the amount of sunlight in your yard and the style you like. The designer will give you a list of plant material and quantities. If there is sufficient time, your designer can draw a rough concept sketch, which is not to scale, that will identify general planting areas and a general idea for placement of paths and patios and/or decks. For detailed, in-depth plans, specifically for hardscaping such as decks and patios, please see our Master Plan option.
After Your Appointment
The designer can arrange to have a contractor quote provided to you at no charge. The designer can also facilitate selection and delivery of nursery stock.
Sheridan Plus Discount Card
After your appointment you will be entitled to a 10% discount
which is valid for one year on all regularly priced Sheridan Nurseries
product. You will fill out an application at the time of your
appointment. Your card will then be mailed to you.
Master Plan - To Scale, Detailed Plan
What is a Master Plan?
This is a scaled drawing, which is an aerial view of the yard and areas discussed. In most cases this is computer generated, though some are hand rendered.
When would you require a Master Plan?
If hardscaping is something you are interested in, you will most likely require a Master Plan. Master Plans enable the customer to visualize their plans for larger projects and help a home owner to better understand how the final product will look. It facilitates a better understanding between homeowners and contractors because Master Plans make it possible for contractors to fully understand what is expected of them, especially for suggesting materials to build with, and providing accurate quotes for costs and project timing.
Master Plans are also helpful if you want to create a long term plan that may be implemented over a period of time.
It is necessary to have a Master Plan for municipal permits.
Fees
The designer would provide a quote fora Master Plan during the initial Landscape Design Consultation. They are $350 dollars and up, depending on your requirements and the complexity of the plan, in addition to the fee for your initial Landscape Design Consultation. This fee also includes concept presentations and material selection. The designer will confirm the fee and deposit for the Master Plan and inform you of any additional costs, at that time.

Do-It-Yourself Landscape Installation
Once you have your in-store sketch, design concept or detailed plan, your Sheridan Nurseries Landscape Professional can show you the specified plants and materials at the Sheridan Nurseries garden centre nearest you and arrange delivery of the plants and garden materials to your home. After you have completed your garden installation, you can always count on Sheridan Nurseries experts for continued support as your garden grows.
Sheridan Nurseries has the best plant guarantees in the business; 2 Years for Nursery Stock and Perennials; and 1 Year for Roses. Sheridan Nurseries plant guarantees apply to all material bought through our stores at retail pricing.
Professional Landscape Installation
Sheridan Nurseries Authorized Contractors are independent companies that are recommended by the professionals at Sheridan Nurseries to complete your landscape installation. Each Authorized Contractor guarantees their work and is dedicated to providing superior workmanship and customer service. They can install the plants for you and complete the 'hardscaping' features of your landscape design project.
Other services provided by our Authorized Landscape Contractors include: Tree removal/Pruning, Irrigation, Fence and Deck installation, Lighting, Natural Stonework, Interlock, and Ponds and Water Features.
All negotiations and agreements are handled directly between the homeowner and Authorized Contractor and are unrelated to Sheridan Nurseries services.
